KATHMANDU — Seventeen people have so far died of influenza virus. According to Division of Epidemiology and Disease Control, out of 3,101 patients, who underwent check up till the date of October, 1,291 people were found suffering from the influenza virus.

Of them, 17 lost their lives due to this. Division Director Dr Bhim Acharya said that of the decease, nine were also suffering from other diseases too.

A total of 806 people suffered from H1N1 of Influenza virus type A in the month of mid-July to mid September. Dr Acharya said that all should always be alert about the disease as it could spread at any time as well as urged to do treatment soon after complaining cold and cough. RSS
