Abhay Kumar or Abhay K. is an Indian poet and diplomat. His published books are The Seduction of Delhi, The Eight-Eyed Lord of Kathmandu, CAPITALS and 100 Great Indian Poems among others.
Here are five things you didn’t know Abhay K.:
#1 He’s a vegetarian since childhood as his parents were vegetarian. He cannot imagine himself eating dead animals who have eyes and ears and bodies just like humans.
#2 He studied Geography at the college and the university, not literature.
#3 He started writing at the age of 25 for the first time when posted in Moscow, and his first book is a memoir, not a poetry collection.
#4 He also paints and has done solo exhibitions in St. Petersburg and New Delhi and participated in group exhibitions in Paris, St. Petersburg and New Delhi.
#5 He speaks Magahi, Hindi, English, Russian, Nepali, and Portuguese. He also knows Sanskrit and understands Spanish.
