KATHMANDU — The Amnesty International (AI) has demanded amendments to the Transitional Justice Act in line with the court ruling.
Issuing a press statement on the occasion of International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearance Wednesday (August 30), the AI noted that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP) have not been able to come up with truths when they have only five-month to go.
Likewise, International Commission of Justice (ICJ) said that the South Asia has been failed to bring the perpetrators of enforced disappearances into the ambit of justice.
Issuing a press release, the ICJ also demanded booking the persons involved in enforced disappearances and making public the whereabouts of the disappeared persons. RSS
