NUWAKOT — The District Administration Office, Nuwakot has declared Dhikure Bazaar and its adjoining areas in the Likhu rural municipality-1 of Nuwakot as prohibited zone.

Issuing a public notice, the Nuwakot DAO has declared the area from Dhikure Bazaar to Chaughada in the east, Barahafedidanda in the west, Majhpani in the north and Chaughuda in the south as per the Local Administration Act, Clause 6 (7).

With this, there will be no public gathering and demonstration in the prohibited areas.

The prohibition order came into effect from 6.00 this morning and will be in place up to 6.00 in the evening, said Administrative Officer of Nuwakot DAO Nanda Lal Sharma.

In the final day of election publicity today, Nepali Congress and the left alliance are set to organize the election gathering with show of strengths in the main market area of Dhikure.

The DAO was compelled to enforce prohibition in the area to avoid possible clash when either of the parties denied changing their programme venue, said Sharma. RSS
