DOTI — A Nepali Army helicopter made an emergency landing after experiencing a technical snag soon after taking off from Dadeldhura.

The helicopter was carrying an injured police personnel to Nepalgunj when it had to be landed on the way at a wheat field in Marakatte of Mudabhara of Shikhar municipality-4, Doti. Captain Kushal Kumar Gurung and his co-pilot Rakesh Khadka were flying the helicopter, according to police.

Police constable Sher Bahadur Mahatara had been severely injured after falling off a cliff in Darchula on Sunday evening. He was referred to Kathmandu by the Sub-regional hospital in Dadeldhura.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to take police constable Mahatara to Kathmandu via road. RSS
