Butwal — The first meeting of the Butwal Sub Metropolis’ Executive Council took the decision to take effective steps to resolve the problems of unmanaged settlement in Butwal.

The meeting held on Saturday took a host of the decision including the formation of a task force for the preparation of an archive on the settlement, systematic research, and steps to protect the public’s land property.

A group of experts will be formed under the coordination of urban planner, Sushil Gyawali, for a master plan for integrated extensive urban development.

Butwal Sub Metropolis Spokesperson, Ram Prasad Regmi, added that another task force comprising the head of district’s drinking water and sanitation division and drinking water corporation will be formed under the coordination of Deputy Mayor Gumadevi Acharya to resolve the drinking water woes. RSS
