KATHMANDU — In a historic moment for Nepal’s cricket, bowler prodigy Sandeep Lamichhane has made the cut to VIVO IPL 2018 auction list. It is the first time that a Nepali has been included in the player auction list.

The seventeen-year-old Lamichhane is known for his leg break googly. He’s also a part of the senior team and is currently preparing for WCLC Division 2 matches.

Lamichhane’s base price is IRS 20 lakhs and is at 276. A total of 578 players will fight for the IPL teams in Bengaluru, India on January 27-28. Nepali fans are hopeful Sandeep will be picked by one of the IPL teams. His selection by one of the IPL franchise teams will not only make IPL popular in Nepal but will win all Nepali fans by that particular team.
