KATHMANDU — Vice-Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yang, is paying an official visit to Nepal at the invitation of the government of Nepal. He is arriving in Kathmandu on Monday evening leading an official delegation.

During the visit, Vice-Premier Yang is scheduled to hold delegation-level bilateral talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Bijay Kumar Gachhadar, on 15 August, said a press release issued by the Foreign Ministry, adding that he would call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari, and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on 16 August. He will also meet with senior political leaders.

Moreover, the Vice-Premier is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the nine-storied Basantapur Durbar Restoration Project under the Chinese assistance on 15 August. Mr. Yang would visit the National Ayurveda Research and Training Center in Kirtipur on 16 August.

He is to return Beijing on 17 August, added the press release. RSS
