BARDIBAS — CPN (UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said only thing the country was awaiting desperately was prosperity.

During the election campaign organized for the upcoming local level elections in Mahottari district, leader Nepal made it clear that his party was against amendment on the constitution amendment bill.

“Everything emerged in the name of constitution amendment are mere fuss,” he said, arguing that constitution could be amended along with its implementation.

According to him, the lack of willpower and plan of prosperity despite huge potential was behind the backwardness of the country. “Prosperity must be our resolution now. For this to materialize, activism of the youths and honest endeavour from the government is imperative, he underscored.

He however claimed that only the government UML leads can make honest effort for the prosperity.

Meanwhile, Vice-Chairman of the party Bhim Bahadur Rawal said at an election gathering at Bardibas Chowk of Bardibas that the priorities of the political parties were country’s prosperity, institutional development of democracy, implementation of constitution and guarantee of good governance to the people.
