Gaighat, UDAYPUR – The CPN (UML) candidates to the post of mayor and deputy mayor have been elected in the local level election at Belaka Municipality in the District.
Durga Bahadur Thapa has been elected as the mayor receiving 5,818 while his closest rival from the Nepali Congress Ashok Karki got 5,266 votes.
Similarly, UML’s Raj Kumari Chaudhary has been elected to the post of the deputy mayor receiving 6,131 votes, while her nearest rival NC’s Deepa Rai got 5,286 votes. RSS
