KATHMANDU — Bhirahawa Gladiators defeated Lalitpur Patriots by 3 wickets to book a place in the final of the Everest Premier League T20 cricket tournament.

In the semi-final match held at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur today, Bhairahawa limited Lalitpur to 132 runs after choosing to bowl first. Jayakishan Kolsawala top scored with 42 runs followed by Sunny Patel and Dipesh Bhandari who scored 24 and 22 runs respectively.

Punit of Bhairahawa took 2 wickets while Harishanker Shah, Aarif Sheikh and Bhuvan Karki took one each. In reply, Bhairahwa surpassed the opposition’s total in 19.3 overs at the loss of 7 wickets. Salunge scored the highest for Bhairahawa with 32 runs followed by Rohit Kumar Poudel who scored 28 runs. For Lalitpur, Pawa Sarraf and Lalit Narayan Rajbansi took 2 wickets each.

Bhairahwa will meet Biratnagar in the final to be held on Saturday. RSS
