Gabriel’s impressive bowling helps West Indies beat Pakistan in 2nd Test


West Indies 312 (Chase 131, Holder 58, Abbas 4-56, Amir 3-65) and 268 (Hope 90, Brathwaite 43, Yasir 7-94) beat Pakistan 393 (Azhar 105, Misbah 99, Shehzad 70, Gabriel 4-81) and 81 (Sarfraz 23, Gabriel 5-11) by 106 runs

KATHMANDU – Shannon Gabriel’s five for eleven helped West Indies to beat Pakistan by 106 runs to win the test match on the 5th day of the exciting test match. He finished with the figure of 5 for 11 runs from 11 overs with 4 being the maidens.

West Indies started the day with 183 for 9 runs and added just 4 runs to set the target of 188 runs to win for Pakistan.

In reply, Pakistan didn’t look like they are going to chase at any time as they lost wickets at regular intervals. There was no significant contribution from Pakistan’s batsmen. For West Indies, along with Man of the match Gabriel, captain Holder and Joseph took 5 wickets between them to put up significant contribution to run through Pakistan’s defense.

After this win, the 3 match test series is composed on 1-1 with 1 test match to play.
