KATHMANDU — Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet has said the government was effortful to make the constitution acceptable to all.
Inaugurating the ninth conference of Nepal Ayurvedi Doctors’ Association here today, Minister Basnet said it was quite positive that the Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJPN) was participating in the third round of elections before the amendment of the constitution. However, government has not ignored making the constitution all-acceptable.
He urged everyone to make the elections of province and House of Representatives successful. The Minister argued that these elections would help end political transition, thereby paving way for economic prosperity.
“Sooner the political transition ends, quicker the country develops. So, the elections must be made successful,” he underscored.
Minister Basnet also assured at the programme that he would talk to the stakeholders whether Nepal could take initiative to set up the Ayurved University.
The two day conference attended by 300 ayurved doctors has aimed at sharing knowledge and skills in view of the expansion of the ayurved services to suit the federal set up.
Association Secretary Dr Prakash Gyawali said the discussion would be held on various aspects of ayurved treatment and medicines, expansion of ayurved services, development of human resources, and foreign investment in this sector, among others.
Similarly, Secretary at Health Ministry, Dr Kiran Regmi, said in the recent years, the Ministry was gradually augmenting investment in ayurved sector. But the return of the investment was not satisfactory, he complained.
On the occasion, Dr Seshraj Acharya and Dr Sarita Shrestha were awarded for their special contribution in this sector. RSS
