How long should Nepalis suffer from substandard road infrastructure? Recently, more than 50 people succumbed to a road accident in separate incidents. The concerned authorities are either ignorant or have no clue to fix the problem.
The issue of road infrastructure being terribly built can be fixed by eradicating corruption and making contractors accountable. Also, the minister of transport has the responsibility to improve the road infrastructure or else there’s no reason why officials and state actors should be appointed in this department.
Road safety is imperative for both security and tourism of a nation. Just imagine if Nepal’s road infrastructure was World-class, how many more tourists would we receive? 5 million?
