India beat Sri Lanka

India beat Sri Lanka in the 2nd test match by an inning and 53 runs and has taken the lead of 2-0 in 3 match test series, this is the first time India has beaten Sri Lanka by a margin of an inning in Sri Lanka.

Centuries in the second inning from Karunaratne (142 runs) and Mendis (110 runs) went in vain as Ravindra Jadeja (5/152), number 1 test bowler, inspires India to win this match.

Pujara and Rahane’s centuries and fifties from Jadeja, Saha, Rahul, and Ashwin helped India to touch second consecutive 600 runs margin despite Herath’s four wickets.

Then, Sri Lanka fell apart in Ashwin’s spin as they reduced for 183 runs in the first inning before showing some resistance in the second inning. Ashwin took fifer and Dickwilla scored a half century.

Ravindra Jadeja was adjusted as Man of the match for his brilliant unbeaten 70 runs and 7 wickets in a match.

Ravindra Jadeja suspended for next match 

No. 1 test bowler has been suspended for Pallekele test due to throwing a ball towards batsman in the dangerous zone.

Jadeja had fielded the ball off his own bowling and then thrown it at the batsman in a dangerous manner according to the on-field umpires Rod Tucker and Bruce Oxenford.
