IPL 2017: Hyderabad beat MI after Dhawan’s heroic batting


Sunrisers Hyderabad 140 for 3 (Dhawan 62*, Henriques 44) beat Mumbai Indians 138 for 7 (Rohit 67, Kaul 3-24, Bhuvneshwar 2-29) by seven wickets

SunRisers Hyderabad registered their Sixth win in seven matches in Hyderabad after Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 62 runs off 46 balls and beat Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets.

Initially, MI elected to bat first after winning the toss but the decision seemed to be wrong despite skipper Rohit Sharma’s valuable 67 runs off 45 balls which helped MI to set the target of 139 runs. Partiv Patel (23) and Hardik Pandya (15) were other two to reach double figure.

Siddharth Kaul picked up 3/24, Afghanistan duo Nabi and Rashid finished with 1/13 and 1/22 respectively and Bhuvneshwar Kumar got 2/19 for Hyderabad.

In reply, Shikhar Dhawan played a crucial inning and well supported by Moises Henriques (44 off 35) to put up 91 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket.

McClenaghan started pretty well with the wicket of David Warner in second over but that was not just enough for Mumbai.
