KATHMANDU — In a bid to adapt to the technologically advanced era and disseminate news related to parliamentary affairs to the public in a more efficient manner, Nepal’s Legislature-Parliament Secretariat on Thursday launched a new mobile app and a website.

The mobile app is named ‘Byabasthapika Sansad Nepal’ while www.parliament.gov.np is the newly launched website.

Speaker of the House, Onsari Gharti, launched the mobile app and website amid a program held at the Parliament Building at New Baneshwar.

By downloading the mobile app one could get connected to the parliamentarians and ask them questions from any part of the world, according to the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat.

The Secretariat is confident that the newly launched app and website would be very useful for the members of public to keep themselves informed about the development at the parliament and its affairs.

Speaker Gharti shared that the adherence to the technology was an attempt to make parliament paper-les and technology-friendly.

The government would be aware of the people’s problem and demands as they would take it to the website and app for the same, she said. Documents relating to regulations, bill among others are placed in the website and the application. RSS
