KATHMANDU — The government has set February 8 as the day for holding the election of the National Assembly.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers, taken place at Baluwatar, the prime minister’s official residence has officially finalised February 7 as the day for holding the NA election as per Clause 5 (1) of National Assembly Election Ordinance-2074 BS and publish the notice on Nepal Gazzette, according to Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.

Nepal’s Constitution Article 86 (2) has guaranteed the National Assembly election. RSS
