NUWAKOT — The 17th Senior and 10th Junior National ITF Taekwondo Championship is to take place in Nuwakot on November 3 and 4.

The championship is organized by Nepal International Taekwondo Federation, Nuwakot. Both senior and junior level championship at the national level will take place, according to Basudev Bhatta, coordinator of the Sports Management Committee.

Eight groups including one each from the erstwhile five development regions, Nepal Army Club, the Armed Police Force and the host district Nuwakot will participate in the championship.

Thirteen players in various weight groups ranging from 20 Kg to 80 Kg in the male category and 12 players ranging from 21 Kg to 75 Kg in the female category will vie for the titles in the championship. The chamionship will be held in two departments – single sparring and single patron, ITF Taekwondo Nuwakot president Hari Krishna Shrestha said.

Around 200 players will compete to clinch 41 gold, 41 silver and 81 bronze medals in the championship. RSS
