RAJBIRAJ — Nepali Congress candidates were elected in both mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in Shambhunath Municipality in the district.
Mayoral candidate Yogendra Prasad Chaudhary won the election by securing 2,778 votes while his nearest rival from CPN (UML) Jitendra Gupta got 2,734 votes.
Similarly, deputy mayoral candidate Kavita Kumari Sardar won the election by receiving 2,605 votes while her nearest rival UML’s Shiva Kumari Chaudhary got 2,225 votes. RSS
