KATHMANDU — Nepal national football team is leaving for Japan on Friday in course of its preparation for the AFC Asian Cup qualifying tournament.

During the stay in Japan from August 13 to 19, the Nepali team will play five practice matches with local teams including university and age-group teams. The trip was made possible at the initiative of Nepali team’s Japanese head coach Gyotoku Koji and the Embassy of Japan in Nepal.

Nepal is presently in the third place in its group under the AFC Asian Cup qualifying tournament. It now faces Tajikistan in the match to be held in Nepal on coming September 5. RSS
