KATHMANDU – Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, India a while ago. The President reached New Delhi for a five-day visit at the friendly invitation of her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee.
India’s Minister of State for Women and Child Development Krishna Raj was at the airport to receive President Bhandari. Prior to this, Nepal’s Ambassador for India Deep Kumar Upadhyay had welcomed the President. The President will be heading to the Rashtrapati Bhawan where she will stay as a state guest. PM Modi was absent to welcome her.
Meanwhile, Nepalis are in uproar after the government declared a public holiday for the Prez’s departure to India.
