KATHMANDU — The stock market this week saw transaction worth Rs. 5.53 billion. Altogether 9.58 million shares of 170 companies were traded during the week, according to Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse).

The transaction is 16.75 per cent higher in compared to the previous week. Last week shares of 165 companies worth Rs. 4.73 billion were traded. The week also saw the listing of news shares from various companies including Laxmi Equity Fund, Chyandi Hydropower, Nepal Bangladesh Bank, Nerude Micro-hydel development Bank, Nepal Bank, Laxmi Bank, Sangrila Development Bank, Mahakali Development Bank and Bhargav Development Bank.
