POKHARA — Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Yagya Bahadur Thapa has expressed his confidence that nobody could stop the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies slated for November 26 and December 7 this year.
Inaugurating the 6th Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Food Festival in Pokhara today, Minister Thapa said that since the laws necessary to hold these elections were already provided to the Election Commission, these two elections are bound to take place.
The Ministry of Law has already taken into consideration the formulation of necessary laws for the election of President, Vice-President and Chairperson of the National Assembly which, according to Minister Thapa, will be held following the upcoming two elections.
Thapa also spoke of the need for the restaurants and bars in Pokhara to attract tourists with the healthy and delicious food.
Pokhara Commerce of Commerce and Industry President Bishwa Shankar Palikhe said that such festivals would provide market to the locally produced goods.
The event which will run through September 27 features folk song singing competition, dance competitions, musical performances and local games.
There are 125 stalls on display where visitors could also buy goats and mountain goats for the upcoming Dashain. RSS
