DHULIKHEL — Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet has said that Nepal Television (NTV) should play leading roles at national level as per the aspirations of Nepalis.
Inaugurating a workshop titled “NTV in Federalism” in Dhulikhel on Friday, Minister Basnet said the state-run institution should play more vital roles after the country entering the federalism. “We have resources, means and capacity. We all have to work together to make the best one to the state-run media house,” he added.
On the occasion, Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications Kedar Bahadur Adhikari said that a clear proposal on NTV’s technology, budget and officials’ management should come prior to going in the federal system.
NTV’s Executive Chairman Maheshraj Dahal, General Manager Govinda Rokka, Deputy General Manager Dipak Mani Dhital and others shared their opinions on service expansion of NTV, capacity building of human resources and other issues. RS
