PALPA — A man from Palpa has died of Swine flu in course of treatment in Kathmandu, while four others died of a disease that is yet to be ascertained.

Man Bahadur Chidi,74, of Mathagadhi rural municipality-3 died in course of treatment at the Vayodha hospital in Balkhu, Kathmandu. The hospital confirmed that Chidi died today of the H1N1 virus, according to information officer of the District Public Health Office in Palpa, Madhav Gyawali.

Meanwhile, four others undergoing treatment at Lumbini medical college, Palpa have died. They were suffering from fever, throat pain, dry cough, and diarrhea, but the reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, Gyawali said. They have been identified as Chandra Rana,28, of Kaseni in Madhagadhi rural municipality, Basanti Kunwar,67, of Jhadewa in the same municipality, 65-year-old Man Bahadur Kumar of Siddheswar in Rainadevi Chahara rural municipality and 16-year-old Anita Bista of Madane-1, Gulmi.
