Overloaded Buses held

POKHARA — The District Traffic Police Office, Kaski has started tightening the noose against the overcrowded public buses in view of minimizing road accidents on the eve of festivals.

The action is also taken in response to the complaints made by the passengers, according to Sub Inspector of Police Tirtharaj Poudel.

Sub Inspector Poudel shared that they found the micro buses carrying more passengers than its actual seat capacity by arranging extra temporary seats.

More than 10 such overcrowded vehicles were held on a daily basis, said Poudel, adding that the drivers would carry more passengers by increasing the seat capacity with the help of temporary seats.  RSS
