MALEKHU, DHADING — Traffic along the Dhading section of Prithvi highway has been obstructed due to landslides that occurred at different places since heavy rainfall began a few days ago. According to Gajuri Area Police Office Inspector Barun Singh, one-way traffic has been operated along the Dhadingbesi-Kathmandu highway.

According to him, landslides have obstructed over 20 places along the road section. Meanwhile, passengers of a jeep (Ba 13 Cha 7149) buried at Jawang of Jogimara due to landslide were rescued safely.

Deputy Chief District Officer Liladhar Adhikari shared that they were failing to reach relief support to 34 families of Rubibhyali rural municipality, as they were displaced by the landslide on Friday.

He added that they were unable to reach the site as landslides have blocked the route.
Similarly, different road sections in the northern part of the district have also been blocked due to landslides. RSS
