SURKHET — Pushpa Gharti Bista has been elected the Deputy Speaker of Province 6. Her candidacy filed on behalf of the left alliance was endorsed by a meeting of the Province parliament Saturday. She was the lone candidate for the post.
Similarly, the meeting has constituted an eight-member draft committee to prepare the Province parliament’s rules.
Prakash Jwala, Dal Rawal and Meena Singh Rakhal from CPN (UML), Sita Nepali and Dharma Raj Regmi from the CPN ( Maoist Center), Dinbandhu Shrestha and Yagya Bahadur BC from the Nepali Congress and Soshila Shahi from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are on the committee, according Parliament Secretariat secretary Krishnahari Khadka. The next meeting of Province Assembly is taking place on coming February 21. RSS
