SURKHET — The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Surkhet, has received the highest number of corruption complaints relating to education in Province No 6.

Complaints were related to education, local development, forests and soil conservation.

Out of 633 complaints filed in the last fiscal year, 263 were related to education, while 121 to local development and 60 to forest and soil conservation.

Information Officer Meghnath Sapkota said that 178 cases related to education sectors, 71 to local development and 60 to the forest were settled. The CIAA settled a total of 393 cases last fiscal year.

Likewise, the CIAA had caught three persons red-handed while taking a bribe during the last fiscal. RSS
