RAJBIRAJ — Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) leader Laxman Yadav has been staging a hunger-strike since the past two days in Rajbiraj, protesting against the ‘discriminatory’ approach of his party in terms of distribution of tickets for upcoming elections.
Yadav, who is also President of RJP-N constituency no 2 in Saptari district, blamed that his party had resorted to nepotism and favoritism to distribute the tickets for the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies slated for November 26 and December 7 respectively.
He has been staging the fast-unto-death pressing for 7-point demands at Gajendra Chowk in Rajbiraj of Saptari.
The protesting leader claimed that his party had overlooked the leaders who led the Madhesh movements and as well as various other people’s movement during the allocation of election tickets.
He demanded free and fair distribution of tickets. RSS
