KATHMANDU — Newly appointed Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications Kedar Bahadur Adhikari has assumed office on Wednesday.
At a programme organised at the Ministry, Adhikari expressed commitments to formulate policies to increase people’s access to information technology during his term.
He said, “This is the time of information technology. Right to information is the right of the people. I will take initiatives to forward it by formulating the policy.”
Adhikari was transferred to the Ministry of Information and Communications from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Joint-Secretary of the Ministry, Ram Chandra Dhakal and other officials welcomed the newly appointed secretary.
Meanwhile, a programme was organised to bid farewell to outgoing communications secretary Mahendra Man Gurung today itself. He has been transferred to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
