KATHMANDU — The ICC has approved Nepal’s request to appoint Sulakshan Kulkarni as the new batting coach. Kulkarni will head Nepal’s national cricket team for the upcoming ICC WCLC Division 2 qualifiers.

Nepal is aiming to top the WCLC Division 2 standings so that the team can play for the Division One ICC World Cup Qualifier. The world cup qualifier will be held in Zimbabwe from March 4 to 25. Whereas Division 2 will be held in February.

Speaking with Times of India, Kulkarni said that he’s elated to coach Nepal cricket team and he’d do his best to help the team to qualify for the upcoming leagues.

Nepal’s starting players are yet to be finalized. The team is expected to leave for Dubai prior the Namibia matches.
