Traffic resumes on Mahakali Highway

BAITADI — The Mahakali Highway which was blocked due to the deposition of landslide debris has been opened for traffic this afternoon.

Vehicular movement along the highway came to a halt after the landslide that occurred at Bangabagar, Dilashaini-6 on the Satbanjh-Gokuleshwar section of the highway following incessant rain last night.

Traffic along the highway was opened to the local people and police personnel removed the landslide debris with the help of dozer this afternoon, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Heramba Sharma of the District Police Office, Baitadi.

Vehicles going to various destinations from Baitadi and vice-versa have now started moving to their respective destinations. RSS
