Classically, when we hear the word “leader” we instantly presume that we are talking about politicians. But when it comes to defining leaders, the assumption falls short of what leaders truly mean. A simple definition of a leader is “someone who assumes a certain responsibility in life”. So, a political leader could and could not fall into this category, but a housewife, a school teacher, and a sport-star will. Again, there are few attributes of a leader.

A leader is future-oriented. Leadership is about using present moment to better future—in individual front and in organizational front. A leader is someone who, in the face of adversity, is–

A leader is someone who, in the face of adversity, is afraid(s) that exercises calm and does what need be done.

A leader inspires others to find their voice. She exults in others’ success just as he does in his.

A leader is full of nobody-directed humor. A glum-faced leader is a sorry sight. A leader is cheerful and friendly.

A leader believes in success potential in everybody.

A leader is never manipulative. He leads a team but understands and acknowledges that in this modern World, we co-exist and co-strive.

A leader works for the greater good of everybody.

A leader is a reader: of great inspiring works. Often, (though not a rule) he is a writer too. Former U.S President Barack Obama is a perfect example. Overall, they have a natural flair and talent for many things. This comes from being open…If you read history, you realize that some leaders have been polymaths, Benjamin Franklin for instance.

A leader has a student-like mind-set. He is curious and enthusiastic.
