May 8, Kathmandu. The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has announced a 22-member preliminary squad for the World Cup qualifiers to be held in Zimbabwe.

Captain Rohitkumar Paudele, Tolima Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Gyanendra Malla, Kushal Malla, Arif Sheikh, Dipendra Singh Ari, Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane, Bhim Sarki, Pratish Jisi, Lalit Rajvanshi and Arjun Saud.

Similarly, Sandeep Zora, Dev Khanal, Kishori Mahato, Surya Tamang, Kamal Singh Airi, Mausam Dhakal and Avinash Bohra have also been included in the initial team.

The 10-team qualifying tournament for the One Day World Cup cricket to be held in India will be held in Zimbabwe next June (July). Four test-recognized nations and six associate teams will play.

West Indies, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Nepal, America and UAE will compete in the qualifying tournament to be held in Zimbabwe from June 18 to July 9.

The participating 10 teams will be divided into two groups and after the league stage, the top three teams from both groups will enter the Super Six.
