MUMBAI, INDIA — The beautiful journey of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja‘s wedding seems to be a dreamy affair in Mumbai. The celebrations began Sunday evening with guests turning up at Anil Kapoor’s residence sporting their traditional best. Both the bride-to-be and the groom-to-be were all smiles as they twined in pink.
The ‘Veere Di Wedding’ star, who is all set to take the nuptial vows with the Delhi-based businessman on May 8, was grabbing the eyeballs in a peach-colored embroidered outfit and mehndi-clad hands, while Anand donned a pink bandhgala kurta.
With blushing faces and broad smiles, the couple posed for the cameras with their near and dear ones.
Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Karan Johar and Mohit Marwah, among others, joined the couple for the celebrations.
Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter and Sridevi’s younger daughter Khushi were clicked getting mehndi on their palms.
Shanaya donned a combination of a baby-pink skirt, kurta and dupatta with golden details. She completed her looks with a tiny bindi, a pair of golden jhumkas and a pair of golden juttis. Khushi, on the other hand, went for a Manish Malhotra outfit in royal blue and pale pink.
Khushi’s sister Janhvi, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with ‘Dhadak,’ chose a white, Manish Malhotra ensemble. The dupatta had chikankari embroidery on it, along with gold and silver threadwork. She completed her looks with big earrings and curled hairdo. Meanwhile, the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ helmer dressed up in all white.
The wedding is set to take place in Mumbai. An official statement released by both the Kapoor and Ahuja families on last Tuesday confirmed the wedding date on May 8, Tuesday. The celebrations for one of the year’s most-awaited weddings began today at Anil Kapoor‘s Juhu bungalow with Sonam’s Mehendi Ceremony.
