From a small Kasbah of Kabul in Afghanistan to Bollywood and then to Hollywood now has been an exciting roller coaster ride for Sameer Ali khan. He was always inspired by Bruce Lee and Jean Claude Van Damme to pursue his passion for Martial arts.
He got his first break in 2011, for a short film “God is Dead” the film was nominated at the “Cannes Film Festival” where Khan was praised for his performance. From here started his threads to Hollywood. He was repetitively been invited to several auditions in Hollywood. His tall personality, bright clear complexion, and articulate English with a strong sturdy physical built, solid voice, expressive eyes, made him the right pick for Hollywood.
His success story to Hollywood began. He worked with director Barry Levinson in “Rock the Kas-bah” and A-listers Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Kate Hudson. He acted in “Our Friend” starring Casey Affleck, Dakota Johnson. Sameer is the lead protagonist for 3 episodes in “Seal Team”, which is one of the leading shows in Hollywood.
Besides acting, he has a passion for organizing on-screen fights and he has worked as a fight choreographer in a few films in “Bollywood”. He has a strong command of several languages and his multilingual skills make him the most preferred actor for his fluency in English, Dari, Urdu, and Pashto.
When asked on his advice to the young struggles coming to Bollywood, Actor Sameer Khan Say, “This industry is a journey of acceptance and rejections, auditions are your gateway. I have undergone, so many auditions, I have lost count of them, all I remember is the auditions in which I got selected. I never kept a count of rejection, neither did I store them in my memory. All I Knew is, I had to keep going on relentlessly, without looking back, without counting my failure. I never had a plan B, acting in films was my only mission and will always be so. One can always let their rejections come out positively by putting enormous energy back to work, rather than raising grievances and point out fingers at each other and drowning in the thought of failure. Be relentless, be active, focus on your goals, is my message to the youngsters entering Bollywood”.

Actor Sameer Ali Khan is on the mission now to work in different genres and a ray of platforms from Web series to movies and Biopics. Bollywood to Hollywood has been a humungous experience. “No other platform could have given me this good learning. I cherish my journey. Each moment, that I spend in front of the camera and backstage rehearsing feels blissful to me. I feel alive in front of the camera”, he says will a twinkle in his eyes and a subtle, delightful smile.
