KATHMANDU — Election process for a new leadership of All Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANNISU-Revolutionary), close to the CPN (Maoist Centre), has begun from today.

Election Committee Coordinator Ramesh Malla said that the election process began from today after the 29th National Convention of the ANNISU (Revolutionary) taking place from Wednesday failed to select a new leadership on a consensus.

The Committee has published voter’s name list and has set 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm today for filing nominations. The election for 234 central members including 33 office-bearers would be held on Tuesday. Although the election was scheduled for today, it was postponed until Tuesday due to lack of time.

This is the first time that the new leadership of ANNISU (Revolutionary) is going to be chosen through an election. A total of 2,034 representatives would participate in the election. RSS
