One person has died in a clash following a dispute over the transfer of a provincial hospital in Barathawa municipality of Sarlahi. The situation turned into a clash after a dispute broke out in an all-party meeting called to discuss the hospital on Friday.
District Police Office Sarlahi Police Chief SP Praveen Dhital said that the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained. According to him, seven policemen were injured in the clash.
When the angry group went to the house of Mayor Kalpanakumari Katwal of Varahathawa municipality and started vandalizing it, the police fired with tear gas.
