Malekhu, Dhading, (RSS) — Police has arrested a person here this morning with a large cache of hashish he was transporting to Birgunj from Kathmandu.
Twenty-four-year-old Sachikanta Kushwaha of Manipur, India was held in this connection. Police, in course of carrying out a vehicle check, confiscated 160.5 kilograms of the banned substance from the container bearing Indian registration number plate (HR 55 X 2549) Kushwaha was driving, Deputy Superintendent Ram Bahadur KC said.
A joint police team of the District Police Office and the Area Police Office, Gajuri confiscated the contraband which was being smuggled to India.An investigation is on in this connection, police said.
