Banepa (RSS) — Many municipalities and rural municipalities in Kavrepalanchok district lack employees, affecting both the administrative service and the service seekers.
Mahabharat rural municipality has a total of eight wards, and only four secretaries are at work for all wards, said Chairperson of the municipality Kanchha Lal Jimba.

As a result of lack of employees at the local levels, administrative works like registration of birth and migrations have been affected adversely,” he said.

Likewise, only four secretaries are at work each for a ward of Chauri Deurali rural municipality having a total of nine wards.

“The municipality is making do with only with three employees despite having a quota of 11 employees. They are not regular at work, however,” said the municipality chairperson Dinanath Gautam, adding that this has resulted in affecting budget implementation.

Only four secretaries are available for work each for single ward of Mandan Deupur Municipality that has a total of 12 wards.
Most of the wards of the Municipality are running from the offices set up in the Municipality premises with intra-office employees providing services alternatively, said the chief administrative officer of the Municipality Bhimkanta Sharma.

“We are running from rented buildings in the Municipality premises. Programmes of wards and victims of the earthquake of April 2015 have been affected,” said chairperson of the Municipality ward-9 Jit Bahadur Tamang.
