KATHMANDU — The National Information Commission today handed over a proposed national action plan on ‘open government data’ to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The action plan has been developed as per the international standard to ensure no hindrances on use, reuse and distribution of information for transparency. The data would be made available through internet technology with its implementation. The plan was prepared in accordance with Right to Information Act 2064 Clause 19.

On the occasion, NIC chief commissioner Krishna Hari Banskota stressed on formulating laws on behalf of the government side for the project.

After receiving the report, PM Deuba gave assurances to forward the necessary process to implement report after studying it. RSS
