ITAHARI — Nepali Congress (NC) central committee member and former finance minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the major reason behind NC’s defeat in the province assemblies and federal polls was the alliance of the left parties.

At a programme organized by NC in Dharan, leader Karki said the elections result were not in favor of the NC due to a united communist force and the divided NC.

He was of the view that the NC would focus on democracy and implementation of the constitution adding that it was necessary to move ahead in a new and scientific way by correcting the past mistakes.

Leader Karki also urged the NC leaders and cadres not to feel inferiority complex due to party’s elections result.
