KATHMANDU: On Thursday an agreement was signed between Krishi Samagri Company Limited (KSCL) and Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) for importing 50,000 Metric Tons of fertilizer from Bangladesh to Nepal to meet the growing demand of the current season. This is yet another example of mutual cooperation between Bangladesh and Nepal.

Mr. Netra Bahadur Bhandari, Managing Director of KSCL, and Mr. Aminul Ahsan, Chairman of BCIC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations in presence of senior government officials and diplomats.

The trade between the two countries is expected to further grow when the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA), currently under consideration of the two governments, is signed.
