Kathmandu, (RSS) — Kathmandu district convention of the Nepali Congress-affiliated Nepal Trade Union Congress (NTUC) has been postponed until April 9 over representatives’ issue.

The convention started from March 28 across the country, but Kathmandu-based convention missed the scheduled April 4 deadline due to a dispute relating to the participation of representatives from hotel sector, said the NTUC, Kathmandu President Ganesh Bhattarai.

There are a total of 2,400 general convention representatives from the total 24 organizations that have affiliated with the NTUC. Likewise, approximately 70,000 workers are involved with the NTUC, Kathmandu. Devi Prasad Bhusal and Bhagawati Phuyal are vying for a new leadership.
