KATHMANDU —  A meeting of the Party Unification Coordination Committee comprising top leaders of CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) is currently on at official residence of the Prime Minister, Baluwatar, to give final shape to party unification process, going to be announced till this evening.

The meeting has focused its attention on issue related to registration of new party at the Election Commission by determining joint statute, political document and central committee and party unification announcement through news conference.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ jointly planted saplings at Baluwatar before the Party Unification Coordination Committee meeting.

They planted the sapling of Biolowas, brought from Japan, as well as saplings of mango, Prosopiscineraria, guava, avocado and memphis wishing the party unification should be long-lasting.
