BUTWAL — Members of provincial assembly of province no 5 took oath of office and secrecy here today.
The senior-most member of the provincial assembly of province no 5, Baladev Sharma Pokharel, 79, administered oath of office and secrecy to other members after receiving the oath first from chief of province no 5, Umakanta Jha.
On the occasion, 52 parliamentarians elected in the first-past-the-Post election and 33 members elected through the proportional representation (PR) category of the provincial elections took the oath of office and secrecy.
Jalapa Bhusal, a provincial assembly member of CPN (UML) under proportional category elected from Rupandehi, and Bin Panta of Tastriya Janata Party Nepal remained absent in the programme, according to the Office of the Chief of the Province. RSS
