KATHMANDU — The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is to hold its Central Council meeting in Birgunj in the third week of February.

The RPP central council meeting will hold discussions on the party’s new strategy to strongly establish its ideological viewpoint in the national politics and to maintain the party’s existence and identity in the changed context.

Party central committee member Saraswati Adhikari said that the council meeting would be important in establishing the RPP as a nationalist, democratic force that is consistent in its principles and agenda as Nepal as a Hindu state, following the party’s defeat in the recent elections. Some 500 members would attend the council meeting.
