A distinguished figure within the CPN-UML, Mr. Subash Chandra Nembang, has regrettably passed away this morning at the age of 70.

Mr. Nembang held several notable positions during his illustrious career, including serving as the Constituent Assembly Chairperson, vice Chairperson of the CPN-UML, and former Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR). Tragically, his demise was attributed to a heart attack, and he breathed his last while undergoing medical treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) at 1:30 a.m. today, as conveyed by Mr. Nembang’s personal secretary, Mr. Krishna Prasad Kafle, to the RSS news agency. Mr. Nembang was swiftly admitted to the hospital following complications.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Timilsina, and leaders from various political parties assembled at the hospital. Mr. Nembang, born on the 28th of Falgun in the year 2009 BS, had cultivated a reputation as a statesman known for his inclusive and accommodating approach within the realm of Nepali politics.
